  • Thanks for bombing the snot out of me to where I had to buy 3/4/4 fighters at a 10% premium instead of 1/2/1 infantry at a 33% premium. I never would have gotten them off the ground if I only had 2.  :-P

  • “5 is bigger than 4; roll 'em”… you’re a man after my own heart :). It’s not a good game unless I’ve lost 15 planes… Almost there :). It is interesting to see a drastically different play style than mine… I defend Rostov and the oil field areas to the death. My Russian crude!!!


  • I half-considered giving it a go at that stack of yours (I think it was a 55% win). In retrospect, I probably should have let it rip. But I’m still a little gun-shy about Russians starting a battle after that debacle on the Russian steppes against Wheatbeer. Similar situation, I had the piece advantage and a strong defensive position. I wanted to attack and at least strafe off his infantry. I hit on less than 1/10 pips. I think I had 40 1’s I was rolling and I got 3 hits. The 2’s, 3’s and 4’s weren’t much better. After 1 round of battle I was -10 pieces from where I should have been with average rolls and it was time to bail. Cost me 2 rounds at the gates of Moscow. Didn’t cost me the game, though. Playing a really good opponent cost me that game…  :lol:
