The G40 Waffen-SS Assault Pioneer unit rule is now available at the top of pg. 1 on the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion thread.
Speacilized units according to country
-
I was looking to add some new petspectives to my games so i made up these rules for special unots specific to each country. I still need anothe one for UK but let me know what you think and if u have any ideas post them. I wanted to try and get a special inf type and some other unit.
Germany:
Waffen SS (4 ipc’s)
-Grey infantry: +1 attack on first round of combat (6)
Panzer SS (8 ipc’s)
-Grey tanks: +1 during first round of combat (6)Russia
Parisans (1 ipc)
-Pink infamtry: Defend on 1 attack on 0 . (6)
Can be placed in any territory, but only empty enemy territory. Take re-control of territory. 3 partisans make 1 infantry.
Teletanks (10 ipc’s)
-Pink tanks : 2 hits to destroy but -1 defence value (6)Japan
Yamoto class Battleships (30 ipc’s)
-Takes 3 hits to destroy rolls 2 dice (2)
SNLF (4 ipc’s)
-+1 to first round of combat from amphibious assualts (6)United States
Marines (4 ipc’s)
-Same as SNLF
Light carriers (13 ipc’s)
-Can move 1 extra space but only hold 1 plane amd -1 defence value (3)China
NoneUnited Kingdom/ANZAC
Commando (4 ipc’s)
+1 attack during 1st round of combatItaly
Afrika Corps inf. (4 ipc’s)
+1 attack first round of combat in Africa/Middle East
Afrika Corps tanks (8 ipc’s)
+1 attack first round of combat in Africa/Middle EastFrance
NoneGenerals
Gold Infantry (10 IPC’s)
+1 attack to all units participating in battle
Replace 1 infantry with general at beginning of game. Have two move spaces. -
I have a few questions:
1 - the number in parenthesis at the end of most of these, is this the amount that any country can have on the board at one time? (Example: Germany can have 6 Waffen SS infantry at one time?)
2 - The Yamato class Battleship: It says roll 2 dice. Does this mean it can score 2 hits?
3 - Light carriers - should also mention they are NOT capital ships. Only 1 hit to sink.
4 - Marines and SNLF – the +1 value is attack only, correct? -
here are the answers
1: The number was going to be the number of pieces to paint, but it makes more sense that the number would be the max number of units there can be on the board.
2: No, you can only score to hits, but you choose the best hit. So say you roll a 3 and 5. You score a hit. If you roll a 3 and 4 you still only score one hit. (subject to change)
3: Yes, Forgot to mention that in my post, thanks for clarifying.
4: Yes. Sorry for not being clearer.

Russia
Parisans (1 ipc)
-Pink infamtry: Defend on 1 attack on 0 . (6)
Teletanks (10 ipc’s)
-Pink tanks : 2 hits to destroy but -1 defence value (6)What the heck is “pink infamtry” or Teletanks?
You mean Partisans and Heavy Tanks?
-
Pink infantry. There just painted pink. Teletanks were russion remote control tanks controlled by a control tank hence needing 2 hits to destroy 1 to destroy the robot tank and 1 to kill the control tank.
-
Why paint them pink and second Russia didn’t have “remote control tanks”?
-
They did although they were more extensively used in the russo-finish war. Amd pink because i wamted to keep them the same base color and u cant really make them darker red
-
However, if you choose to use heavy tanks, then that is fine for you. Here are the colors for the specific countries because I see I left some out
Germany: Grey
Russia: Pink
Japan: Red
U.S.: Dark Green
U.K./ANZAC: White
Italy: Light Brown (not as light as original U.K. pieces)Any other suggestions are welcome.
