Realism to a point….It would be tough if every power had different values for their units.

RE: Most over-rated WWII Leader
This topic is as dangerous as politics. I think I got into one of these arguments a few pages back for hatin’ on MacArthur.

RE: Under 2 hours to play
I’ll take 3 battleships and 3 bombers please.
I guess I meant the purchases are scripted more than you get to choose.

RE: Under 2 hours to play
Maybe each capitol gets a certain number of units each turn (eg US gets an air unit 3 ground units and a naval unit). There would be a chart that shows what they are specifically on each turn.
That would make the economics easier.

RE: Cruisers, whats the point?
I always liked the idea of giving cruisers the anti-aircraft ability of AA guns, but for a fleet since they had a lot of deck guns. That ability would make it worth it to have a cruiser in the fleet I think.

RE: Why can't you scramble over neighbouring ground territory?
I think the rule would be more clear if scrambling only applied to island airbases (including England and japan). If sealion is more difficult then so be it. Sealion seems like it is a little too easy anyways.

RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread
Am sure that when the french units come along there will be big sales there as well……
Agreed, I can’t wait to have french units that are not rolling in T34s

RE: Painted playing pieces
I’m not sure $1000 would cover it. When I get serious about painting I can paint for 3 hours after work for 3 weeks just to do one faction. Considering there is 11 factions (Counting US and UK as different factions on each map) that is a rough estimate of 495 hours. $750 would be ~$1.66/hour.
Before I started painting I thought $1000 for a set would be fair too, but I was amazed how much time I spent getting as far as I did. I’m not even done yet.
Some people might paint faster or slower depending on their skill or how much detail they are trying to add.
