Ordered some of these units today. Will post my thoughts as soon as I receive them.

WOW,  Great work “Coach”.  I just ordered 2 sets and I’m looking forward to receiving them and “dipping” them in some enemy blood, haha.  Thanks again, Doug for your time and effort on behalf of ALL of us Axis & Aliies fans.    “Tall Paul”****

Got my order in just now –- 5 sets.  Can’t wait to get them.  I don’t even use Marines in my game, but I just love your pieces.  Also, I’m a bit of a piece junkie.

Really like how you put your logo on the base of the infantry.  It makes it feel like they are just a little more “elite”.

  • I ordered 3, but i will order 5 of the axis minors.  If i need more escort carriers i will get more but hoping to get them individually, so i can outfit the japanese with them.

Hey IL, he’s going to be making a Japanese supplement set once FMG puts out what they are making in their Japanese set.  HBG may have escort or light carriers for Japan.  Of course, Japan is a ways away for FMG even.  We still have Germany, USA, Britain, ANZAC and I think Russia before Japan.  Perhaps you don’t want to wait that long.

I may just forge ahead and follow what I am doing since FMG is not doing most of the types I am doing, light tank, TD, SP Artillery, escort carrier, etc.
When I do Japan , use the out of box bomber for medium bomber and I will do a heavy.
I want to do the Kongo class battleship, SNLF, .

I am doing the Neutral set next in 6 colors.

White, orange, light grey, light green, yellow, ivory.

This gives you Strict neutral, pro axis, pro allies, Dutch, and two colors that match the Minor Axis set to expand their pieces, navy, tacs, etc.

Then you can use these fuller armies as say Romania, and Finland and even turkey or Spain.

Cool.  I would be very interested to see what you come up with for Japan.
The neutral set sound pretty interesting.  I like your color choices.  I’m guessing White = Strict neutral, Light grey = pro Axis, light green = pro Allied, orange = Dutch.  Yellow = Romania and Ivory = Finland?
Right now, I use white = strict neutrals, medium-light grey for pro axis and a very light tan for pro allied.  May have to change that when your neutrals come out.

    @Razor:

I want to order, how much extra for shipping to Norway ?

You will be charged $13.95 for small flat rate box.
If it is less than 13 ounces, I can send it first class and refund some shipping.
Just put a not on your order if you want it first class.
    I do ship to Norway!

My Marines showed up today. Coach’s shipping was super fast as always. He included some samples of his other products. I had a little problem with the lighting for the photos. I included some of the WOTC units for comparison. They all look really great.

The F4U is between the SBD and the F6F. Looks like an alligator landing craft and a flame throwing Sherman with the OOB Sherman between them. And the Marine with a thompson and one with a flame thrower with the OOB Marine from the old Pacific game between.

    Thank you coach.

I just got my Marine pieces today. Excellent job. They are even better looking in person. The units scale is perfect, the color is excellent, and the level of detail surpasses that of the OOB pieces. Great job. I look forward to purchasing many more your upcoming sets.

  • i want these

So go order some cminke!  You won’t be disappointed, I’m sure.  Coach’s pieces have really great detail.  Especially impressed with the Shermans.  Much more detail than the OOB Shermans and the body style is much more realistic to what Sherman tanks actually looked like.  Another great thing is these tanks actually have treads on them.  The bottoms are not just flat all the way across.  That is so cool!

    Check out my set.

I think that I forgot to mention the samples that Coach sent me with my Marine order. The D-6 dice are the rounded corner type EXACTLY like the ones I have been using. I use a different color for each power point on the battle board so that I can roll all at once. The sample chips are not compatable with the old style (original)OOB chips. Also the sample drink coaster is in the photo.
