I have had a 3D printer hobbyist CAD design a new BB playing piece and a new DD playing piece.
The BB is based on the WW1 UK Iron Duke modified for appearance. It is, certainly, better looking than the original BB design. Additionally, I (we) used a depiction of a WW1 US 4 stacker DD to make a modified DD playing piece for A&A WW1. The rationale that the Sub replaces the need for a DD just doesn’t ‘cut it’ (make sense). Most of the colour filaments used to 3D print these units are a good match to the original playing piece colours. I will post pictures of these as I have assistance doing so.

These are the best i’ve seen, even better than mine. The key thing is by nation they have a distinct style so its easy to tell them apart as being German or Russian.
Id like to see some of these HBG sets painted up.

I always enjoy seeing other people’s units they’ve painted,…and these are Excellent! It’s been too long since I’ve spent time speaking with Vira and the rest of you.
The last painted pieces for me were the Major Industrial Centers which I’m sure everyone has already seen. The Minor I.C.'s should be ready before long though.

the hmg sets are really nice and have been eyeing them up espeacillay the lvts and ships. not as good as the metal ones but far cheaper and unbreakable. I reckon they will paint up really nicely. unfortunatly the cost of shipping makes it easier for me to buy the metal ones at a slow trickle with out much shipping.
@Viracocha i have moved since joining the forum to the fens but its about the same distance unfortunatly i dont get much free time these days with the baby and work. but i will keep it in mind

I’ve been trying to post some pics of my painted units, but can’t seem to figure out how to attach them. I’ve been told the additional options has the attach option, but that isn’t there for me. Not sure if I need to have “X” number of posts before I’m able to… Any suggestions?
