Okay that is the game. The Axis control 8 victory cities on the Europe map and there is no possible way for the Allies to take one back before the Germans go again.

As you can see, I tried to do something like Green Skies. Do you think this strategy is viable in general? If so? What was wrong with my execution of the strategy? Thank you!
Yeah, I am not a big fan of the Green Skies strategy. The main problem with the Green Skies strategy is it doesn’t put boots on the ground or ships on the sea.
As you saw, while you had a big punch on offense in the Pacific, your Allied fleet was too small to go toe-to-toe with the Japanese fleet. In our game, even with Japan waiting till J3 for a DOW, the US fleet was never able to stand their ground against the Jap fleet. Because of this you were never able to take and hold a Money Island which is imperative for an Allied win. Sure the Japanese fleet had to be carful to not be destroyed but the US had the same problem and could not advance.
In Europe, by the time you sent US bombers there, the battle for Moscow was already determined. Sure, you did a great job of strategic bombing German territory but with Moscow dead and no US ground forces presence coming Germany had the game in the bag.
In essence, you lost on both sides of the board. That just should not happen; especially with a J3 DOW. The lack of ground and sea units is what cost you… more than what you gained by having a ton of US bombers flying all over the place.

@simon-tressel Guys everything seems to indicate that to play on the forum, we must all have the same version of TripleA, you can play directly on the Triple A server if you want but not on the forum, also if I have 2.5, I can’t get into the same servers as the player who has version 2.6 or 2.7 so to play you have to agree on which version to play, 2.6 and 2.7 are better but they are empty, nobody plays on them and 2.5 always has players playing.
There have been a lot of posts here so I might be missing some context. But while there may be some exceptions (and there is some flexibility built in to the league so people can play official league games in different formats), players in the league don’t normally play on the server and don’t play in real time. Instead we play by creating a game thread in the forum and then using the forum option to set up a game and post our turns to that thread. There are compatibility issues across different versions and one of the major issues iwth the older release, if I recall correctly, is that it was no longer able to post to the forum (but there was a work around). As long as folks either stick with the official release or install one of the newer pre-releases (doesn’t ahve to be exactly the same one) they should be able to make it work.
Because this is a thread for posting league game results, I’d also suggest moving this over to the general league discussion thread. And if there is a need to walk through setting up a game, just post a request there and I’m sure one of us can do that too.
