    I’ve been playing this wrong, I’ve always done all sea battles first and then amphib and then land! I think I read the “Step 1: Sea Combat” in the rulebook as being a general combat rule not just for amphibs

    I played like you for years, then an opponent called me out earlier this year and I had to look it up. It goes bombing raids, amphib s, then as you wish. As a sub-set of amphib, that goes the related sea battle if applicable, then the amphib assault.

    I have no problem slow rolling the battle to accommodate your schedule. As it is so crucial, I feel the need to unilaterally over ride you OOL for your own good. Your elo will suffer far more from a loss from me than vice versa. If we rated the old way, I don’t think it’d matter as much, but now “it’ll go on your permanent record” (in the voice and cadence of the Violent Femmes)

    Actually, rule book says sub hits, when they are surprised, roll first, and hits assigned first, as the hits do not get a return shot.

    @mainah Silly me, I was thinking in the case of still having a destroyer. Since you took Malta I do not think there is any reasonable expectation of me being able to save this fleet. I should have moved those units from Tunisia into Malta, no reason not too, I am not sure why I didn’t. I probably did in my test game lol. Made a similar mistake in another game last play.
