    I can’t imagine you wouldn’t want to go round for round for casualty choices.

    I have scrambled the fig and tac from Malta to SZ 96 and did not scramble to Malta from 96. Obviously, we can change that if you so desire.

    I will be conducting the SZ 96 battle first.

    As it is a complicated combat round, and quite possibly a game ending battle, I wanted all terms clear prior to first rounds of combat. Once you confirm the current set up, I will press the big red button.

    It disappoints me greatly to inform you the 3 test plays I did to get a feel for how this may or may not work out ended with Italy winning with figs and a damaged BB left and capturing Malta in 2 of them. While I understand dice chances are exactly the same each and every time, the skeptical me feels that this nearly guarantees a loss for me as no dicing computer program is actually random. I doubt you share in my disappointment. ;-)

    Due to this, I won’t start the battle to at least Tuesday, to shake that feeling off so I won’t have hard feelings when I do not beat the odds.

    That may affect your scramble descions.

    @mainah For key battles I’m fine doing round by round, however with my schedule this week between work, family, and a wedding (not mine!) it would be a detriment to the game.

    Regular OOL in tripleA except: lose tacs and 2 fighters before any cruisers

    I’ve been playing this wrong, I’ve always done all sea battles first and then amphib and then land! I think I read the “Step 1: Sea Combat” in the rulebook as being a general combat rule not just for amphibs

    I played like you for years, then an opponent called me out earlier this year and I had to look it up. It goes bombing raids, amphib s, then as you wish. As a sub-set of amphib, that goes the related sea battle if applicable, then the amphib assault.

    I have no problem slow rolling the battle to accommodate your schedule. As it is so crucial, I feel the need to unilaterally over ride you OOL for your own good. Your elo will suffer far more from a loss from me than vice versa. If we rated the old way, I don’t think it’d matter as much, but now “it’ll go on your permanent record” (in the voice and cadence of the Violent Femmes)

    @mainah Well I am available for the next two hours if you want to pound it out real quick. The opening salvo is the most important, if Italy whiffs enough I will probably try to save a carrier.
