Yep. That’s what it is. More than likely staged knowing the Soviets but captures the sentiment of an officer in the field quite well… or how we all like to view ourselves, haha

Its also a slight nod to the game I was playing before Axis and Allies. Advanced Squad Leader is fun but so rules heavy that victory usually went to whoever knew the rules better - which I learned not to like.

@SuperbattleshipYamato Finally, I have an affinity for the Soviet soldiers of WWII. In terms of body count, they paid the check. Over 90% of Allied casualties were suffered by the Soviets. I’m very proud of the USA of course but …they took 9 million casualties and didn’t blink. The honest 1st hand accounts of Soviet soldiers (which are rare) are some of the most horrifying pieces of literature on war to read.
