Please answer the question I asked above about Russian strategy.
Sorry if that seemed too confrontational or aggressive.

@superbattleshipyamato said in TGC (CP) v Yamato (Entente), 1914, oob with RR rule:
By the way consider this:
You said that Germany should attack Poland if Russia does the Polish Defence if Austria Hungary captured Romania.
Germany doing this is very bad for Russia.
With these two pieces of information, I concluded:
Russia should only do the Polish Defence if Austria Hungary failed in Romania.
Is this true? Thank you!
There is something about that first sentence that is confusing me but, generally speaking - yes, I personally do not like to attack Poland with Germany if Russia is there in force and Austria was hung in Romania.
-
-
I guess my first sentence was confusing.
You didn’t say it in your videos, but from what I pieced together, it seems like Russia should only do the Polish Defence if Austria-Hungary had trouble in Romania because otherwise the fatal weakness of the strategy (Germany tying Russia up and Austria-Hungary moving into Ukraine) would be exposed.
So what I’m basically asking is if this is true:
Russia should only attempt the Polish Defence if Austria-Hungary didn’t destroy all Russian units in Romania.

I don’t feel I came off that black and white in the video - but again, correct. I don’t care to execute the Polish defense as Russia unless Austria was hung up in Romania. I have played against decent Entente opponents who do it every time regardless of the outcome.
-
@superbattleshipyamato My last sentence can be better written. *HOWEVER, I have played against decent Entente opponents who do it every time regardless of what happened with Austria in Romania. My doing the Polish defense is a personal choice. I don’t think the Polish defense is a bad strategy at all - I just think its riskier for the Entente and the Entente do not need to take risks.

Thanks for responding!
I wasn’t sure about what should Russia do in games I played against myself, so I’m glad you helped clarify.
Thanks also for telling me about what other players do.

I screwed up big time…
I wanted to not attack Angola on the previous British turn, but I forgot to edit the unit back in.
I assumed you would’ve stayed in Angola, and I moved accordingly.
Edit Africa accordingly if you think you would’ve withdrawn as Germany to Southwest Africa (the only place you could’ve gone).
I also forgot to have British units load a French transport last turn so I also did that.

That’s fine. I misinterpreted that and assumed you pulled out without checking the history. In that case the Germans go Southwest Africa and the UK are minus one IPC. Fixed in this file here: O3 final edit.tsvg
