Stories of winning as the Allies with no bid at this game
-
Since AndrewAAGamer says it’s impossible for the Allies to win (with equal players) with no bid, I wonder are there any stories of the Allies winning. Whenever I play against myself the Axis always win. My parents say I’m biased, but it’s the game’s that biased.
Anyways I that was mean to say I don’t have any stories like that. Do you?
-
I did not say it was impossible for the Allies to win with no Bid with equal Players. I said, as below, the Axis have a significant advantage. Which means, with two equal Players, I would expect the Allies to win less than 5% of the time. My goal is to make it balanced, or 50/50.

THE BID
As discussed, the Axis has the advantage in Global 1940 2nd Edition OOB; significantly. -
Oops, you’re right. Anyhow, I haven’t seen the Allies ever win a game out of 15+ games against myself in Global 1940.
-
The problem is Japan. A lot of people that believe in a KGF strategy neglect the fact that Japan has the undying ability to win the game in the Pacific with 6 victory cities, regardless of what happens in Europe.
-
True. Still, the Allies did win with a KGF strategy in real life without Japan getting enough victory cities
-
@superbattleshipyamato in theorie they did a KGF but in reality much more resources were Sent to the Pacific. Plus we can´t forget that the US production was in comparison to AAA waaaay larger.
-
Yeah, I thought about that. Isn’t US production supposed to be more than the entire Axis combined?
It’s true they sent more resources to the Pacific. So do KJF.
-
It’s not really represented in history very well but the Americans actually did a semi KJF strategy in real life instead of KGF. You can’t forget that the American’s strategy in fighting the Germans really didn’t take fold until early to mid 1944. Meanwhile they spent the rest of 41, all of 42 and 43 having to fight and contain the Japanese tiger that was thrashing about. The Pacific saw some of the most ammount of resources we’ve ever commited to a war just in building ships alone.
-
Yeah, I’ve read that and I believe it. I think until 1943 or 1944 the Americans had more ground units in the Pacific?
Yeah, the US built a ton of ships. For some reason the US never gets to seemingly similar numbers in the game.
