@trent15 good day. That is how it works . For big battles , it is best to ask your opponent his choice of casualties, however . Although, You could establish a few basic rules, before you start playing and it is always politeness to ask whether your opponent wants to scramble.
Enjoy your games.

Hey all,
Do you know what is causing the following error? I am not able to post to a game to the forum. I have played games by forum in the past but took a break for a couple of years. I might be missing one of the setup steps but I am not sure how to tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
class java.lang.Boolean cannot be cast to class java.lang.Integer (java.lang.Boolean and java.lang.Integer are in module java.base of loader ‘bootstrap’) java.lang.ClassCastException: class java.lang.Boolean cannot be cast to class java.lang.Integer (java.lang.Boolean and java.lang.Integer are in module java.base of loader ‘bootstrap’)

You can see from other topics in this category, that the current “stable” of TripleA has lost compatibility to the forum software. That is why players use workarounds and post the turn summary as well as savegame files manually.
Alternatively you can try to use the latest pre-release of TripleA from
https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/releases -
@panther thanks, I am using the pre-release version and it is working. Or at least appears to be working so far.
-
@Panther thanks again for the help. I am still confused though about the explanation. If the forums software is no longer compatible why does it still work for most people? Do they have an older version of TripleA that works? Why can my opponent upload but not me?
-
As I said they use workarounds like manually posting savegames and turn summary.

@panther thanks. I finally realized what the work around was. I appreciate the help.
