@sgt-mclusky I’ve been using those rules with my brother from when it first came out for every game version, up until I got the G40 version back in '17- nowadays I just use the oob rules for destroyers for simplicity purposes!

Yea lots of possibilities here. I dig it. Almost missed that AirTrpt in Yugo. Only a dude but throw some Air and a couple Paras as well as S France Trpt, a guy could make a stand.Don’t think I’m gonna go that way. Evacuate and consolidate in 97 most likely. Fly that PG to W Germany. We’ll see. I got sidetracked by new “Reacher” series lol

German Take Over Of Italy is possible from Late 1943.This can bring the Axis a renewed offensive option in Africa.

Lot of Fast Movers in France. Think they’d be better in W Germany. Norway a little light. I better send 3 LMs and a AAgun I think. Maybe a Ftr.
Gonna blitz the Panzer to Persia. Force UK to concentrate if they don’t use the 98 Trprt. Gonna send a couple Paras to Crete too.
Definitely need to fall back on E Front. See how it all works soon enough lol
Kriegsmarine still got a few pieces.

@barnee OK just checked. i can only send a Inf and 3 LMs. So i guess I’ll do that and boost the wall in Norway. Don’t want to lose it yet

Don’t forget the Soviet Rockets in Moscow - they are a threat to any Waffen-SS units, Panzer units or Paratrooper units that stand alone without cheap Infantry units…
You also have an option to create the German 1st Desert Army in Africa - once the Take Over of Italy has been accomplished…
You’ll see, that the German Air Transport units are highly effective in re-supplying the German Africa Corps.

@the-captain yea last test game those rockets were good at dissolving Army Groups/Armies before regular combat started if they were close to the minimum limit. Didn’t try any with Germany.

Well sadly the test game only made it to the end of R1. Wouldn’t let the commies move into UK held TTys. Need to fix the “relationships” of all players. This can be a bit complex at times, but whatever, that’s what’s gonna get done lol
For giggles, here’s what i did
G1 build
Probably went a little big on the Atlantic as usual. Idk. Kept looking for the 262s but realized they haven’t activated yet. Those 4 Jets have a nice kill ratio lol.
Combat
Though about hitting Smolensk but just smashed everything at Archangel. 4 AA shots missed and “2nd Panzer Army” survived intact. So that was good. Dusted Crete with a couple Paras to kill UK bonus.Biggest blunder was not sending a U-boat to 125. Could’ve killed the other attacks easily enough.
Non Combat and Place
Felt fairly confident. Tried to keep some bullet stoppers headed to the E Front. Consolidated Kriegsmarine in 97. Moved a LCV a little closer to Med. Evacuate N Africa. 1 dude left. Maybe I shoulda suicide attacked him ? Blocked 104 with the Escort.
Kept a little strength in Greece. RR and Para drop 2nd Waffen Army to Lenningrad. Retreated to UKR. Russian Paras can threaten Lines of Communication. Hopefully that Elite gets it done in the baltics if needed.
Anyway, probably shoulda went a little lighter in Archangel and hit Smolensk too. Idk. Maybe fall back and hold till you can get enough dude to the Front. Lost a lot of SS. It ended up -4 TUV for Germany after russian counterattack. Russian Rockets did their job. Lots of russian infantry out there.
Pretty basic R1 build. coulda gone Guards but wanted the commisar.
Hopefully fixes don’t take too long and i can get back at it. Don’t worry, i won’t spam out every turn here lol

The Waffen-SS units should be rebuild asap, since they need to be the backbone of German defenses on the Eastern Front.
As soon as the Waffen-SS Paratrooper units become available, they too should be activated.
The Urals can be threatened from Leningrad - and even captured - with the Waffen-SS Paratrooper units, if the Soviets don’t defend it with at least 3-4 units.
The Total War rule is available from game start.
With an upgrade to Heavy Industry 2 Units in Berlin, Germany can send 12 units to the Eastern Front each turn - fx 6 Panzer units & 6 Mechanized Infantry units (total cost = 45 IPC).

I think my biggest weakness is not enough fodder and get star struck by all the kick ass German dudes. I did only buy 2 Oberst and 2 SS Inf instead of 3 this time lol
Yea, Urals is a big defend for sure. Those Waffen SS Paras are not to be trifled with. Probably a luxury buy, but an Airbase in Novgorod, just got colder in the now extinct soviet union lol
Yea, last game I went Total Tank and Mech after I got the Air up. Still want those 262s but not next turn : )
The Med is fun and challenging. Can’t completely ignore but can go big. Retreat and hold on E Front and mix it up there maybe. Don’t want the Allies pouring through the Middle East.
Oh well, you can’t do everything you want. That’s the challenge and Fun :)

Yea this a good idea for the 12 production. I was splitting em up or going all in on W Ger last time, since they were boosted.

I would have said you’re an idiot handling Germany, but I’ve found (after many hours of thinking) that Germany sadly can’t hold all their starting territories.

That’s true - in the Pacific. Germany has Bunkers in Western Europe.
Yes, we use them a lot - mostly the Allies use fortifications in the Pacific to bolster the defense against Japanese amphibious assaults.
Prior to the Global 1943 set up, some islands have changed hands a few times - so at this point, there has been no time to re-construct the defensive fortifications.
Players have the option to create those bunkers - if it suits their Strategic Plan.

End German 2
Not real happy with it. Ukraine is worrisome. I just couldn’t bring myself to retreat. The Fuhrer was adamant on no retreat anyways lol
