I’m interested only in sealed copies.
Cheap way to get Axis And Allies 1914
-
So, the thing is, by the time I wanted to get Axis And Allies 1914, the game seemed to be already out of stock at all my local stores and it goes for hundreds of US dollars on Ebay. Is there a cheaper way to get this game? Thank you everybody!

@superbattleshipyamato123 Sometimes you can get lucky on one of these pages:
But it is not often that the 1914 version pops up, so you have to have patience and look often…
Good luck :)

Is there an English version of these websites? I don’t understand what the websites say (they are all in different languages). Thank you for your find!
-
@superbattleshipyamato123 Don’t think so, they are danish, norwegian and swedish secondhand sites… Otherwise try gumtree, that one is in english, maybe you will have some luck there :)

On Amazon UK, I was able to find the game sealed and shrink wrapped for only 130 pounds! This is compared to the normal (rounded up) 500 US dollar price on Ebay-I was able to ship it to a friend’s house in Scotland and from there sent to my place. Unfortunately that was the last copy, so I can’t help anyone else with this-still, keep looking and you should be able to find it eventually! It took me a long time, but I was able to find it!
-
@superbattleshipyamato Congratulations on the good find :D
-
Thank you!
-
@superbattleshipyamato You struck uranium there, got the game myself but I bought some units over the summer on eBay(since the game itself doesn’t come with enough units)- even buying individual pieces is rare unfortunately!!!
-
Thank you for responding!
It took me a really long time to find the game, probably several hours altogether.
You’re right-finding pieces are very rare, and usually if I find a piece in stock on Historical Board Gaming, I usually just buy the whole stock (at least as much as I need, which is usually more than the available stock). It’s sad though that the extra pieces needed the most (infantry and artillery) are the ones that are the hardest to get. The hardest pieces to get are German (although I rally want the Ottoman ones for the unique colour which is irreplaceable by World War 2 pieces), and the easiest prices to find are American. These is my personal findings, and I might be completely wrong.
Keep looking and you will be able to find it!

@superbattleshipyamato man you have no idea how jelaous i am, im looking all over the net and nobody has it or prices are outrageous
-
@jan3333333 It’s a fun version once you get into it, I hope you will find it at a good price some day :)
-
Exactly! It took me a long time to find it as well. I guess that’s how I felt when I couldn’t find it and read about other people’s success stories.
-
@superbattleshipyamato Yeah, I would like an extra copy as well, but the only one I can find that is somehow close to my neighbourhood is this one: https://www.dba.dk/axis-and-allies-ww1-1914/id-1082998633/ and it is way to expensive for my taste…
-
That’s expensive. As I noted in an earlier post, I wasn’t able to have it directly sent to my area. Try looking in other places that won’t necessarily ship to your neighbourhood. I’ve found many people get it in Greece (I got it in the UK), so looking internationally might help.
By the way, were you able to sell your massive collection (you’re the person with every game ever, right)? Thank you!
I’m also wondering why you would like another copy.
Good luck in your quest!
-
@superbattleshipyamato Spare parts :) some of the battles I have with my brother and nephews when we play are close to using all the units :D
-
@superbattleshipyamato i did find it on italian site for like 49€ but im not sure if they deliver it to my location (croatia) also its kinda sketchy since apperently they have it for such low price plus they have more than 1 copy
-
If it’s real, I’m wondering should I get it or let someone else get it. Also, can you post the link please? Thank you!
-
That definitely makes sense-Historical Board Gaming is overpriced in comparison to just buying a copy of 1942 for Global 1940. I hate chips and infantry and artillery is in a massive shortage for 1914 for every power (except the US), and new ones are very hard to get.

@superbattleshipyamato heres the link [moderator’s edit: removed the link]
i couldnt help myself and took the risk, wish me luck -
@jan3333333 I really, really wish you good luck.
Have you seen that the linked site does not provide any company details? All the links to social media or payment or shipping companies go to something generic and unrelated to the website.
This is more than strange for a company that - when from Italy - should act under EU regulation and laws. That includes way more information. Just compare it with other known (Italian) online stores to see what I mean. But all you get here is a single gmail address.
Nothing else.I will remove the link you provided, not only to protect others, just in case…
In case I am wrong please give a notice that your deal has been successful and everything has turned out to be fine.
