    Dice are so FUBAR!

    I know that scramble vs a sub is useless in sz40 for example, but then there is no battle anyway… But in sz33 there was a battle, where you could have scrambled from AC with 3 ftr’s… I would have won according to battlecalc, but you never know! :D

    Another rule that would have made me choose a different attack then… Instead of more units in sz33, I would have supported sz24 more… Probably I would have scored a hit then, but thats all in the past now :(

    One thing I find very important is that when we have a large battle, we have the opportunity to choose casualties… And not to tell the OOL upfront… I choose according to the hits scored, especially when there are units present (bombers for example) with a low defense, but high value…

    @cds well you are certainly playing the german fleet well…although such a heavy investment at sea means a stronger russia…and unless there is some master plan im not seeing in the pacific…japan will start losing its headway

    Yes, very familiar with the downside of such a strategy. According to JC every disadvantage has its advantage. So in the grand scheme of things, its all good ;) At least I have kept you busy with US and have given Italy a chance to gain control over MED and North Africa.

    Yes, the Japanese can be my downfall sometimes. I also had problems playing them in G40 games, but there I managed to do oke. This game is totally new to me, like I told you upfront, that it was my second or third game. So still figuring things out. I think the push towards Russia shouldnt have happend, I can live with the 2 pu Russia gets if I dont occupy sz5 or Amur. Also the Chinese guerilla are a real pain in the ass.

    But you are right that I need to figure out a good plan for the coming turns, or otherwise it can become very difficult.
