I am unable to do any post of game at all to the forums, not even a test post. I haved tried my email address, which I use to logon to the forums, my username, and my username with dashes in lieu of spaces.
Here’s the error:

In the “Play by Forum” settings you need to choose the correct forum. The setting defaults to “forums.triplea-game.org”, where you obviously are not a member.
So change the setting to “www.axisandallies.org/forums” and your issue should disappear.

As I pointed out originally, I have already tried to use dashes.
Of course, I don’t log on to the forums with my username – I use my email address, but that apparently also does not work.

Yes you have pointed out that, but I asked you to try first with dashes but without capitals and second without ‘space’. For the second option you need to change your forum user name before using the “Edit Profile” settings.
You can see behind the @-symbol that the forum software “translates” your username to

What I would additionally like you to ask is to provide a screenshot with your Play By Forum settings, maybe there is something I did not think about right now.
Your issue might not be related to TripleA but maybe to the forum software, that is constantly worked on, too.
Somewhere you mentioned TripleA 1.9 - so you could try to post with 1.9, too, please, just to help investigating for a reason.

Trying marshmallow-of-war did not work.
1.9 also did not work. Sounds like the forum software, which leaves me only the option of changing the forum name.

Sidenote:
Actually chances are that this issue is related to your setup: When I try to post using your username and any password (of course I don’t know and have no access to yours) TripleA does not complain about the username but about the wrong authentication.
