    @amon-sul I think that rule that you can load transports the turn after you have been declared war makes sense, but it is also really hard to remember… Have had the same problem versus Japan once.

    I think it has to be in the same turn. And I think it only works for Germany / Russia, not in the Pacific?

    Or am I mistaken?

    @amon-sul What happened to me is that I declared war with UK and put a des in the same SZ as Japanese trans. Next turn he could pick up land units with that trans.

    From the Declaring War section:

    …During your Combat Move phase in which you entered into a state of war, your transports that are already in sea zones that have just become hostile may be loaded in those sea zones (but not in other hostile sea zones). In effect, transports may be loaded in their initial sea zones for amphibious assaults before war is declared, while the sea zone is still friendly.

    the trick in the pacific is to put a UK dd in same sea zone as japanese transports, and then DOW with Anzac. You need two powers to make it work as if you tried to do it with UK alone, you would be at war with Japan when you tried to move a dd to the japanese sz. Rarely works out though since the cost for anzac declaring war on Japan is so high. But sometimes it works out if Japanese player forgets to preload transports on J2.

    Dont really think there is a similar trick in europe. Italy and Germany declare war on Russia independently and a state of war between one doesnt affect the other.

    @ksmckay What happened here is that Germans declared war on Soviets in G4 and could load the transport even though it was now in a hostile SZ. I works according to the above rule I believe.

    but what if theoretically uk is in the similar position. lets say, uk has a tranny in a sz where japan has a navy. can uk while declaring war, use its tranny to load troops in that same sz (or in some other)

    and if it can, can it use it only for cm, or even for ncm?
