I replied to Sgt privately, but for the thread I can say that we still want to release at least one other patch. However, we’ve been stuck in contract negotiations with Hasbro for a few years, so no news yet. We’re also a small team and there are other projects that need (probably quicker) attention, such as our Infinity Engine games.
Axis & Allies Online Screenshots and Steam Page
-
Today we get our first glimpses at Axis & Allies Online when Beamdog announced that the Axis & Allies Online Steam page is available and…
-
It looks like clicking the screenshots isn’t working. The larger stills of the game actually show more and better detail.
-
Hi David,
Good to see this new info.
Clicking on the screenshots did not work for me. Maybe a browswer related issue?
Others can click on these? -
@thrasher1 No, it’s still not working. Wordpress had a big upgrade and I updated the theme and certain things work differently now. I need to figure out the “new” way of making the images clickable.

Hi all. Are any of the creators looking at the triplea online version for inspiration? One thing I like about triplea is that the pieces on the board very much resemble game pieces (planes, tanks…inf…ect).
-
@Ichabod They do. The zoomed out version has the chits and zoomed in is 3D. I need a plugin or something for Wordpress to open the larger version of the image so you can click and view the details.

My one plea… Add house rules and make them shareable. Kinda like blitz where you can change unit and territory values. Make it possible to add territories and additional units types plus a global version with a revised and original map skin and i will be a happy man!

@DessertFox599 I’m going to mention @JuliusBorisovBeamdog here since he’s the one around here collecting feedback.
-
Thanks for the feedback!
-
How zommable is the map? It would be cool to be able to see how detailed the unit models are up close?
-
@DessertFox599 The photo I posted is maximum zoom. From the screenshots you’ll see two zoom levels.
-
Ok, so it looks like the featured map is something I have never played on, from whatever version that is, but my question is, as this is a computer game, are all other maps/rules included?
My only interest is playing Classic/2nd edition, so for me to spend any money on this product, it would have to have that map/ruleset as one of the options. Also, the ability for folks to mod in house rules would be a big factor in getting me to buy it.
I’ve never had a good experience with steam on my computer, so will there be support for other forms of online play? I only ever keep Steam on my computer for the initial DL, and after that uninstall it, will this impair my ability to play online?
