Everything went as planned. Good start for Brits. Taking out Germ BB was more important than Taranto. Besides, I prefer taking out Italian armies in Tobruk & Ethiopia. Sometimes the Italians roll better than UK & that creates a problem. But not this time.

I’m not sure what you mean. If you are referring to the Italian turn battle in SZ 99, I had 2 fighters and a sub, against the British DD, which was a 100% chance of sinking the DD.

China is always pounded when Japan has nothing else to pound on when it is waiting for its J3 turn. If Japan does a J1 attack, or even J2, China can stiffen up and slow down Japan
You placed Japan tt’s well, to threaten isles or Inda/Burma/Shan. With the support of its massive air, Japan could crush any Indian move to Burma. So it waits, trapped in India, for eventual attack And you negated a sneaky Karl by keeping your troops on board.
