@Nix:
it´s hard for japan to kill 6 inf and 2 arm in manch on J2.
cover that with a UK ftr or two or three and it’s damn near impossible
UK can’t afford to sacrifice even one of its fighters to defend a Russian line…

@Nix:
But that is of course “optional”, i also belive more and more are directing recourses against Japan, becuse it has been shown time and time again that an unrestricted Japan is a “killer”.
But if the allies want to Hit Axis first round you can do some of this (or all)
Russia hits West Russia, and maybe Belorussia, Rusia sends 6 inf to Buryatia, 2 Arm Yakut to threthen a Incursion.
UK hits French indo china with 3 inf, 1 fig, hoping to wipe them out (or thinning down Japans troop levels), Dest to SZ59 kill trn (im beginning to lose faith in that dest thought…)
Creating a Pacific Fleet off the coast of Australia is an interesting idea - I’m currently trying it our in a game against NoMercy, with mixed results. I’ve had to sacrifice Egypt (coupled with a KJF strategy for the USA means Germany is HUGE) but it allowed me to bring Japan’s expansion to a virtual stand-still.
I’ve seen those six infantry wiped off the face of the map in J1, and they are almost certainly destroyed by J2. If you want to stall Japan but not concentrate on it, I believe bringing the inf from Buryatia and the Soviet Far East to Yakut is optimal…
@Scarface:
Q- Why do doctors swat newborns on their behind when they are born?
A- To knock the dicks off the dumb ones!
Isn’t that a bit… sexist, or am I understanding it wrong?
They’re a corporation - of course they want the biggest bang for their buck. Who cares if your emotions are hurt? You’re merely part of the Labour Aristocracy, fattened through the explotation of third-world countries but still part of the proletariat because you must sell your labour to survive.
/socialist rant :lol:
You should look around! The job with the provincial government sounds fun… even better would be something with an advocacy group such as Amnesty International. …
@ncscswitch:
Well, the game with Cyan was a short one (we played hard all day Sunday, but Cyan left the side door open of the Reichstag).
Anyone up for one? I have about just shy of a month before Round 2 of the Tournament (if game not over, on hold from February 15 until after round 2 of the Tournament).
I believe the proper term to describe that is “OH SNAP!”
I’m in the tournament, but have too much spare time on my hands and want to play another game - any takers?
Spare time? What, I’m not fast enough for ya? :wink:
Well how often does the UK Dst even do anything?
I think it would be fair because since there is no bid Germany now has to use their Med Fleet to take Egypt so there is no way the Dst would’ve survived that game anyway.Edit: If that makes sense to anyone
Exactly - it frees up a few German figs and the Med fleet. In return, Japan doesn’t have as many first-turn options.
2,074,283 in America have the same first name as I. However, NO ONE has the same last name (which makes sense because I live in Canada).
I’M UNIQUE!
Here’s a simple way, IMO, to even out the game without bids - remove the destroyer in SZ15. Thoughts?
Otherwise, I would make the arguement that Transports should have a defense of “1”.
Transports do have a defense of “1”.

I assume he means offense…
It still has the same problem as tech - unbalancing the game through luck…
I think the russians would do that too :wink:
They really should just add a “Common sense” rule;
If it’s illogical, it’s illegal
Would save a lot of arguements… Probably would help lawyers, too :-D
Wow…
Goodbye, I wish you the best of luck in life and love. Please pop in once and a while - who knows, we might convince you to start being active again. After all, A&A is like smoking; once you start you can’t stop :lol:
I’m in Kitchener… but only turned 14 recently. Don’t want to cramp your style, so to speak :-)
I’d like an overall introduction for ‘newbs’… looking at the board on ABattleMap, it seems quite daunting.
Sure it’s kinda sad… but also something to admire. Congrats, Switch, and I hope you stay as dedicated for a long time to come!
