Nashville Axis & Allies will be holding our next gathering, The Battle of Franklin, on December 12-13. I’ve reserved my neighborhood clubhouse in the heart of the Cool Springs area of Franklin, just south of Nashville.

This is a two day event beginning Friday morning, December 12 through Saturday, December 13th. There are plenty of tables and lots of room for multiple games.

So far we have 10 confirmed RSVP’s. There are quite a few hotels less than a mile from the clubhouse. We will have lots of food choices with numerous restaurants in the area, including Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks within walking distance.

I think I need to put this off for a few years. The first thing I need to do is build a local following to make sure inhabe enough people.

32 unique participants.

There 15 games the first round, with 12 or 13 in the second round.

Maybe 8 games in the third round.  Ty Hansen ended up capturing the championship again beating not only Goia son in the semifinals and then the Goia dad in the final.

Unfortunately, I lost a close game to the dad in the second round and then another close one in the third round.  Good time though and didn’t feel outplayed in anyway.  Just needed to tweak a few things and could have won.

Ok, looks like it will most likely be the weekend of 10/26. That’s Fri, 10/26 through Sun, 10/28. My buddy and I from So Cal will definitely be coming. There may be another friend of ours from So Cal coming as well. Plus, possibly another friend of ours from N. Cal. Our friend from N. Cal is a long shot. So, most likely three of us. Then, we have another two good possibilities(never met in person but corresponding through A&A.org) from S. Cal that will be coming as well. So, that’s 4 or 5 most likely confirmed.

Axis and Allies Miniatures tournament Sat June 24th 5pm Valley Stream, NY (Long Island).  All skill levels welcome.  Call for details and directions.  DCI membership is required and can be activated before the tournament for those who are not members.  Membership is free and the tournament charge is $5.00.  Prizes go to players with the best records although everyone usually gets something.  I think this months kit has the new beachfront D-Day map and scenario.

We will be starting an Axis & Allies club at JAC Games in Akron, Ohio.  JAC Games is located at 1101 W. Portage Trail Ext. in Akron

We will be meeting on the last Saturday of every month at 7 p.m. and playing as late as everyone wants to.  We’ll be playing the newest version of the Axis and Allies board game. We will deviate into other A&A games and also plan to run an ongoing variant version of the game that we have played for many years.  The variant version is played on a very large custom made map with anywhere from 6 to 12 players, it’s more of a free for all style game where natural allies are formed based off of the conditions of all the worlds powers.
