Fighters moving out of contested zones and attacking
-
Scenario:
The Allies control Trieste, the Central Powers control Tyrolia, Vienna is contested.
A British fighter is in Vienna. Can the fighter move from Vienna to Trieste, then attack Tyrolia? A fighter can move two spaces.
-
@superbattleshipyamato Assuming that land units are also moving into Tyrolia (fighters must end their movement in a territory containing land units belonging to the same power), there’s no reason why it couldn’t. In fact, the fighter can move directly from Vienna to Tyrolia, without going through Trieste.
-
I thought units in contested zones couldn’t attack a territory? Tyrolia is not contested at the start of the turn. 2 British infantry (among other units) are moving out Trieste to attack Tyrolia the same turn.
Hopefully this extra information helps.

@superbattleshipyamato Land units can’t. Fighters have no such restriction. See page 15 of the rulebook.

Thank you for responding!

@superbattleshipyamato yes this is just not allowed in tripleA because the fighters in tripleA have been programmed as ground units like a tank which can move 2 via the ground. youll have to edit the fighters in to a separate territory with all of the particpating fighters edited in there and run that battle first before editing the results of that air battle and fighting in the territory you have regular combat in.

Thank you.
