Gauging interest in customized Hit/Miss dice (Update: ORDERED!)
-
@Imperious:
you only need one to four, not 5
white
red
blue
green diceTo make them useable in multiple games (not just A&A), 5 is required as there are games that “hit” on a 2+ (ie: 5 of 6 results = hit).

These dice have been ordered from the same manufacturer that does our IPC’s.
They have given us a manufacturing window of approximately 35 days, plus shipping time.
Expected Retail Pricing will be $3.95 per set of 5 dice (or $1 per individual die)
16mm, rounded corner, acrylic, printed dice, 5 per set
More info when they arrive!

OH quite right . have not considered that.
I would buy at least two sets and i do enjoy my chip set, thanks! One thing is the tech chips should have the global 40 techs

This is exactly what i would have done. Acrylic is best. Sell them in groups of 5, but allow ordering of just 1-4 in case we don’t need 5 different types.
I would say $5 for 4, or if you order 5+ its $1 each.
Also post some proofs of the dice colors and “explosion” graphic to make sure we are on the same page. Perhaps some greens or blues are better than others?

It would be very cool and make our choices a lot easier if we could see prototypes please? If it is at all possible? Thanks for the effort!

Unfortunately there won’t really be anything to see until the product arrives.
As with anything, it won’t be for everyone (you can’t please everybody of course), but it’s another tool in the arsenal.

What’s the latest update on these? Did they ever become reality?

I LIKE THE IDEA…
Just the color selections made it impossible to buy them.
They migrated from the original idea as well.
-
Why do you say the color selections make it impossible to buy them? The colors seem to make pretty intuitive sense to me.
