Notice all of the bombers are four engine variety. Even though the Japanese and Germans did not use these bombers in the war, they were on the drawing board and they match the looks and statistics of the other four engine bombers better than the 2 engine bombers in the stock game which are really medium bombers.

In our hybrid game Strategic Bombers attack navy at two, and land units at three. This makes them most useful for their historic use: bombing industry. In order to increase their effectiveness (since their attack has been reduced) these bombers can attack the IPC value of any territory, doing damage up to the total value of the territory. The way this works is you bomb a territory and the amount of damage done is placed on the territory in the form of colored “damage chips.” These are added up and deducted from the owner’s income the next time he gets paid. The damage chips are then removed.
