@aequitas-et-veritas Well I must say that I was quite disapointed, good storyline, but since Disney is in charge of it, not much wrong or hurt happening to the heroes, the stormtroopers were useless like any of the vilan, really hope that ', the book of Boba fett, will have a different tone but I am not keeping my hopes high.
The search for Planet X: studies in the possibility of other worlds

This site is one of my favorite for a good starting point for the history of looking for the 10th planet. Its a little dated, as we have found a number of proto-planets in the orbits passed pluto.

possible? i think if you were to say that there are no other planets out there then your an idiot and need to be spanked for your ignorance. planets are weird, at one point Pluto was a planet, but its not anymore. it is endless out there, and to think that we are it is one of the most ridicules things you can say.

Google for “planet” and “Xena” (the inofficial name of the planet until it is given a proper name. The “name” of its moon is “Gabrielle”, what a surprise. I am a bit shocked by these “names” and the power of second-class TV shows.)

That Xena name was suggested by the daughter of one of the project managers, but i read that other accounts have it done my a prior decision to name it with a X as in planet X?
I bet their is something larger out there… in fact i cant discount the theory of “Nemesis” which is a large proto star with a huge elliptical orbit. It can remain unseen even with modern tech. If some of you may have read that we just discovered a brown dwarf not more than 10 Light years from here. The basic idea is this “dark companion” when it eventually gets within the boundary of our system… it stirs up all the ball of ice in orbits past Pluto and pushed them into the inner solar system, where some can threaten the Earth/ moon system. How would a large comet hitting earth strike you?
Next year we finally launch a probe to visit Pluto and then followup with a trip into the oort cloud and other reaches of our system. Also a new space telescope is due to launch and will greatly help with the search for other “plutos”.

Hhhmmm, now all we need is a “Red Star” coming out of the Oort Cloud dragging “thread” along with it…
Where are those Dragons when we need them???
(sorry to anyone who never read Anne McCaffery)

OK, so here is a serious post on the subject…

Officially, we DO now have 10 planets in the Solar System, with the 10th Planent, currently named 2003 UB313, becoming an “official” planet on 29 JUL 05.

That planet you refer too is Xena…I was readoing on the mission statement for new horizons probe, which says it will visit these “planets” during the 2018-2022 time frame. Personally i don’t think anything can be more fascinating than seeing these pictures.
