Alpha Rules Clarification: Mongolia

@barnee I tried! But the person I am playing against has been playing for many years and this is only my second year of playing so I am not always correct with the rules. I plan on attacking when we get back to it!

The rules make it a challenge, but like anything else, it has it’s time and place in the game. Wait for your opponent to leave a factory undefended with aircraft, or to slow down their economy when they need it most. IMO, Germany should have 2-3 bombers by G6 or G7 and should use them to make Russia spend precious dollars to repair ICs, while simultaneously combining with original Luftwaffe/methodical small naval purchases to keep the Allied fleets at bay.

But… losing a bomber sucks.  :oops:

My group and I have not played since Christmas and are planning on playing this weekend. Could someone please point me to the newest and most up to date rules and objectives.

No.  USSR may not move into territories outside its own on the Europe map until it is at war with Germany and/or Italy.  Also, it may not move into territories outside its own on the Pacific map until it is at war with Japan.

Islands are separate spaces from the sea zones that they’re in.  It takes a movement point to enter or leave an island.

No. They are not part of the “Allies” until they join the war, so their are no countries friendly to them until they do, anyway.

What’s even more tragic (or fortunate depending on how you look at it) is that I have 10 differe A&A’s so a lack of control markers for the big 5 is never an issue. A lack of ANZAC markers on the other hand…

Yes, they upgrade for free when at war. If however you want it to become a major IC before going to war you must pay 20 IPC as normal per IC.
