Playing pieces

I still play it.

I have all the versions of A&A on board, and the Europe 1999 is one that can be done in half a day. Remember last time I played against my brother and a friend. Tricked them and forced a R5 stack attack which ended miserably for them. It was their soundest defeat to date.

Aaaah, memories.

It is a really dark blue, almost black.

I typed up how I would explain the game to a new player in the linked thread. It is ‘long’ but A&A games are a bit harder than Scrabble to explain.

Given that it is possible for American troops to make landfall in Morocco in the first two turns, American can attack Italy and then Germany with a Southern D-Day. If Britain takes care of the northern German sea power, it can attempt to land in France while American takes over Italy. It’s just an idea, so if you don’t want to take a risk, I’d just go with America’s historic role: give money, planes, to Britain, land in France.

The Stukas were used all the way to the end. Even though they were awful fighters.

Good question, it’s been so long that I’m not sure anymore-although, if you hit Russia hard and fast enough, you might be able to get U.K. as well-I know for sure you don’t need to take all 3 capitals.
