How do you play this game

another great game……one of my iraq buddies came to pittsburgh over the summer and we got a few games in. I also love playing as Germany. Sometimes i alternate between artillery rd. 1. Armor rd 2. and just push for Moscow…10 arty…8 armor…10 arty …8 armor. My stategy is to take russian territories each turn and place my 12ipc bonus at the brginning of the game down towards egypt(3 arty)

I hope not on Libya as you have to have units on the territory.
My 12 ipcs as Germany goes to a Transport and 1 art unit. The transport allows me to contest leningrad or look like I am going to attempt Sealion. Either way it is a win-win situation for me.

As Germany I have never lost however have come close. My first turn is always every single plane goes and attacks British fleets, then subs do there attacks on the u.s. And british fleets, except for Canada. As the Canadian fleet stretches my fleet out a bit too much.

Then I hammer Russia with all armour buys however I do sometimes buy subs to keep the Western Allies at bay.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE GERMAN FORCES AND THEY START WITH 40 DOLLARS CAN ESILY TAKE THE CONVOYS AND THE MIDDLE EAST.

Given that it is possible for American troops to make landfall in Morocco in the first two turns, American can attack Italy and then Germany with a Southern D-Day. If Britain takes care of the northern German sea power, it can attempt to land in France while American takes over Italy. It’s just an idea, so if you don’t want to take a risk, I’d just go with America’s historic role: give money, planes, to Britain, land in France.

Europe uses all the world rules and then a bunch more. Pacific uses all the europe rules then a lot more also.

So I think you should get world, europe, pacific in that order…

well normal bid is about 28 which is 16 extra ipc’s usually that all goes to russia. If you force it to be split, I think it’s pretty even, It might slightly favor allies, but I’m not really sure. I played this way against someone on this forum who didn’t believe me, I was germany, and won easliy (>99% odds on moscow)

what do you think about a russian sub in the white sea for a bid, it seems crazy, but someone did it to me, it was very effecitve. Iit more or less guarentees the soviet convoy, and then can be used for fodder to clean up the subs.

macs are cool, I mainly use linux, but i have windows on computer #3… anyway is this a picture file, or the microsoft word document? I do do both on linux (openoffice), so that will be cool! and yeah, i get +12 for germany, it’s +12 for all countries. Is this ok? hmm thinking what i should get, maybe a fighter for france…

ENDGAME

Once victory is achieved on a board, there is no more combat movement or resolve combat on that board. The victor keeps control and remains getting IPC’s for all territories gained. He also regains control for territories he owned at the beginning OF THE GAME. Also you may now non combat move into enemy owned territories and sea zones leaving mixed forces, for example if Japan won the Pacific game a American battleship and Japanese battleship may share a sea zone and do not ever resolve combat. You cannot non-combat move onto an enemy capital after a game is completed for that board. Example, Japan cannot drop of troops on United States or New South Wales. However if you took the enemy capital to win the game you keep control of it and the original owner and his allies may not non-combat move into it.

I always played that you can build even if there are enemy units in the seazone.

I think this is the actual rule, but you have to have the battle that turn. Not sure though.
