Im actually surprised its not in the rules that they can. The U-boats did the same thing in WW1 as they did in WW2 so why wouldn’t that rule be the same? Just wondering

In WWII games many subs are sunk by aircraft. Since that can’t happen in this game its probably meant to balance.
But subs in 1914 need a complete rethink.

our group went with they have first strike and if you want to kill them you have to dedicate ships to do it and they all roll @ 1’s to sink them but they attack and defend at 1
