Next Nation to sculpt at HBG
-
Personally id like to see Anzac, Canada, FEC. But i would be happy with facilities as well. The naval base should have small warehouses with docks attached to it. as long as the airbase isn’t just a tower! it needs the actual strip with it.

Ideas for Great Britain, Commonwealth Set : unique sculpts could be
British:
Churchill tank; great heavy tank
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churchill_tankLight Tank Mk VI: Light tank for the british.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_Tank_Mk_VIA British commando unit is needed maybe to represent paratroopers.
HMS Hood: early war battleship
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Hood_(51)Canada
Ram Mk II it has a unique look to it plus its Canadian
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ram_tankGrizzly I cruiser could double over as British Sherman.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grizzly_I_cruiserMk III helmet Infantry would be a great addition to the UK set. Both the UK and Canadians used it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mk_III_helmetSouth africa
Marmon-Herrington Armoured Car Mk IV nice unique armored car and unique to south africa
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marmon-Herrington_Armoured_CarThe problem with UK is they are so with there infantry it would be a shame if South African and the Canadians are represented in game

Great Britain , Commonwealth, FEC / India sets.
Great Britain, Commonwealth Set : Same pieces, just different colours?
FEC/India Set : Same pieces as GB and Commonwealth, only need different infantry and maybe colour?
Anzac Set : Same pieces as GB and Commonwealth, only need different infantry and colour.Do it this way, should be cost effective and speed up production?
i agree with this except anzac has a couple of of unique units
Sentinel tank
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentinel_tankCAC Boomerang
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAC_Boomerangplus to save money it should be 2 different sets the UK/CANADA/South Africa in 3 colors
than the FEC/India/Anzac set in 2 colors -
Hi
I think you got some good suggestions here Lunarwolf.
It would be awesome if HBG would make unique sculpts and sets for all of those countries, Great Britain, Canada, South Africa, Far East Command / India and ANZAC.
Some sculpts could be used all over, but also give the different nations unique sculpts where it should be. -
I voted UK and I think that it should also be done in ANZAC OOB colors. One set two nations. maybe even in OOB france color too. and fourth color for Canada.
-
one more unit for Australia could be the Phaeton class cruiser
-
If I were designing a UK set these would be the units I would pick to use.
Airborne Infantry x4
Bedford Trucks x2
Gloster Meteor x2
Hawker Hurricane x2
Bofors Antiaircraft Artillery x2 (if A&A '41 uses the Bofors for AA Art. then add two more Commandos)
Bren Gun Carrier x2
Centurion x2
Short Sterling Bomber x2
Nelson Class Battleship x2
17 Pounder Artillery x2
Commandos x2
Bristol Buckingham x2
T Class Submarine x2With this set, other than the Liberty ship, the British would have all there own units instead of using recolored American pieces.

Those are some really great suggestions! We are listening… :-)

If it is UK, then I want a KGV for a battleship.
-
I could deal with the Archer, Firefly Sherman, King George Battleship, Nelson Class Battleship and Implacables Class Aircraft Carrier. I would shy away from anything already done in the game by WOTC so no Halifax or Lancasters. If I really wanted to I could come up with enough British equipment for 2 sets.
-
If you do a UK set please include AAP40 Anzac grey for Canada and AA Revised UK Light green for Canada and maybe a new color for Far East Command.
Maybe also in forest green for Canada (AA Classic US).
-
rider an kinda agree with you it would be cool to see the UK/Canada/South Africa in
OOB tan for UK
Forest green for Canada
maybe Dday blonde for South africaand for anzac/FEC
OOB pewter for anzac
and maybe that revised Sea-foamish green for indian/FEC -

I know UK is a ways off yet (heck, we’re still waiting on our German pieces, then have to see what happens with USA), but FMG plans on having the King George V for their UK Battleship. So if HBG does a UK Battleship, they should do the Nelson.
-
Forest green for Canada
and maybe that revised Sea-foamish green for indian/FECI actually think it would be better to avoid using any types of green for British Commonwealth forces, to avoid confusion with American forces and with Chinese infantry. It’s true that Revised used lime green for the British units, but that was a one-off aberration. I’m glad they did it, because it allowed me to reassign the lime-green equipment pieces to China, whose infantry units are a similar shade, but I’m also glad that in other games Britain has been given variations of beige and tan pieces, which has the virtue of consistency. Perhaps Commonwealth forces like Canada could be made in colours like butterscotch (as in the original Milton Bradley A&A game) or pale cream (like the British forces in A&A D-Day), to go with the British beige / tan colour pattern.

Since A7A already have the Matilda, Use a crusader for early war tanks to go with the Matilda as those were the most numerous types while early war A-10s or A-13s were the main cruiser tanks. The Mech inf should get the iconic Brit Bren carriers.
-
We have the early war tank (light) with the Matilda and we have the Mid War Tank (medium) with the Sherman I would be completely fine with just one tank if it was late war tank (Heavy)
-
i take back my vote for south africa being blonde. they are to clsoe to ivory , i rather see the blue grey that HBG had for their painted version of the South africans
-
Don’t forget that the Gurkhas used a hat kinda similar to the Aussie hat. I think a hat-wearing Commonwealth/ FEC soldier would be one of my highest priorities for a UK-oriented set. Perhaps even a second in proper Gurkha-gear wielding a kukri overhead! With FMG doing KBV, Nelson would be a good choice, as I hear WotC is doing Hood (strange choice though it is) for their joint-allied BB in AA41.
The Aussie Sentinels and Canadian Ram/Grizzle series were not used much, and are basically derived from US tanks (M3/M4 series) anyways. I’d rather see someone do some of the late-war tanks for the UK set proper: Comet or Cromwell, maybe, though I don’t know what FMG is doing. The Cromwell was the second-most used UK tank after…. drum-roll, please… the Sherman! Yes folks, the Brits used more Shermans than any one particular tank of their own design. The Churchill is distinctive and cool-looking, so I wouldn’t mind having some, but the fact remains that it really wasn’t that great of a tank, and the British couldn’t wait to get their hands on Shermans because, quite frankly, they were better than anything the Brits produced until the Comet and the Centurion (the latter of which came too late to see action.)
(OK, the Cromwell was better than the original Sherman in some ways, especially mobility, but it was too tight of a design for its gun to be upgraded, unlike the Sherman.) Anyway, the Comet comes closest to being something that the UK player could used as a “heavy” tank upgrade, since, unlike the Churchill, its gun was at least competitive and its superior mobility gave it some advantages over the Tigers. Yes, the Churchill was a comparatively “heavy” tank, but what’s the point of a “heavy” tank with a weak gun and thin armor that was way less mobile than a Tiger on top of it all?

On the topic of what to do next, how about completing the neutral set and sculpting a BB, CV, sb and a tac?

I would love this, but doubt it will happen. I favor complete sets by far.
