Coach, Excellent list. I agree with IL go with the other aircraft for a TAC. Much better choice. I already wat too many P-38s.

It makes no sense to do Italian models for the neutrals, considering that we already have a full range of German, Italian, and Axis Minor sculpts (and Coach has already announced that he has more German variants coming on top of that…) Between all of the different neutral/ minor countries, surely there’s a more unique sculpt he could choose!
I can understand that the criticism that it looks too much like a P-38, though the argument that it looks too “modern” makes no sense. It looks like what it is, which is not especially modern by WW2 standards. Even the P-38 itself was more an early-war than a late-war model. In the West it was destined to be almost entirely replaced late-war by P-47 and P-51 fighters. (Note, btw, the much higher numbers in the model designations of the later models: there were nine other proposed fighter designs in between the P-38 and the P-47… and even the P-40 was a later design!)

I was checking out the Neutral sculpts and noticed in the back what looks like some sort of truck. In the list of different units, there is no truck listed. Is this a new addition? What model is it?
I am assuming it would go with the “2” quantity pieces, so there will be 8 infantry instead of 10?
I’ve been asking Coach about this but he’s been hush hush even to me… I’ll keep after him :wink:
EDIT: Just got my answer. It’s a Polish truck and yes it will reduce the infantry count to 8 per set giving 2 trucks instead.

Two minor changes.
I asked them to redo the helmet on the Infantry Soldier and square off the destroyer back end of the ship so that it matches the OOB pieces. Too hard to tell pieces apart sometimes. Just a couple days and they will be approved.
A couple more looks at the above pieces. As Coach mentioned, this are not quite final yet until the changes are done.

Just preordered 8 sets! This set will really be hard to beat(except maybe by an update of the same)!
They are very reminiscent of the original axis and allies pieces! I like it!
Coach does the Yellow Green match the OOB of the chinese? or is there another set you have that matches OOB China?
Here’s a pic of the yellow-green neutrals next to an OOB Chinese infantry. Not a perfect match. We currently don’t have any other pieces that come close to this color.

The neutral light green set is VERY different from the Revised UK light green. You can easily tell them apart on the table.
The yellow-green isn’t a perfect match for G40 China but its pretty close. Close enough that it would be confusing if you attempted to use both on the same board.

Not even close. The light green neutrals are more of a bright minty kind of color. Like that fake light green of mint ice cream. The color reminds me of a piece of decorative glass.
I got my neutrals today. Got 2 sets in each color. I don’t even use neutrals to this extent yet, but if I decide to try the Global 1939 game, I will be ready.
