So Im a bg lotr fan. ive read the books, watched the movies, even looked up Middle Earth history online. So my point is has anyone seen or played a good lotr game out there? Im not talking Risk (though its fun) i mean a REAL game like AAA. With different units for each faction. Also i would like if this game were downloadable and free. If this doesnt exist then I will make my own. If nobody posts anything suffcient then Ill turn this topic into the HQ for the new AAA LOTR project. Thanks for the future posts  :-D

There are a few games involving metal miniatures with rules on Warhammer Fantasy lines. Wizkids is coming out with clixy LOTR sometime this year.

There  is also the Middle Earth CCG (no longer published) which was supposedly pretty good and grounded in the books and the Decipher LOTR CCG (no longer published) grounded in the films.

Yes I’ve heard of Games Workshop alot. I have a friend who collects Warhammer 40,000 models. He got alot online for a cheap price. Only the Lord of the Rings minis are expensive on the website and not much cheaper anywhere else.
