Thanks for the piece count.  I’ve been looking at the pictures of the pieces posted online, and it looks like the Italian and Russian pieces are almost exactly the same color.  I have multiple sets of pieces in the old Milton Bradley colors, and I was wondering which ones were closer to the old Russian brown, in case I wanted to use them to supplement 1940.

The MB Russians are much closer to the Italians.

From what I can make out of the pictures which have been posted, the Russian pieces in the new Europe game are the same dark purple as they’ve been in the last few releases.  So the Milton Bradley game’s Russian infantry pieces, which are dark chocolate brown, would be closer to the Italian pieces, which are a medium shade of brown.

Seeing as this brings brings my piece count well over 2k I am sure I am fine, although some of the new things like tacs and mech, and new countries, may be a bit stretched depending how games and strats go

Jeez… That sounds like a Jap Tac Bmb fiasco all over again. I can imagine Germany pumping out sub’s like hell, and spreading them thin to disrupt convoys. 6 aint gonna cut it.

Ow well, there goes another piece of equipment from my Revised set.

Yeah, not enough subs for Germany….same thing with carriers for the UK.

I have raided all my old sets to bring extra pieces in. All my factories and AA guns as well. 2 factories for a major, 1 for a minor.

I hate those cardboard pieces.
