Axis & Allies Europe 1940 Limited Edition?

Hey everyone.

I talked to my local Internet store for about 3 hours ago and he told me that Europe 40 will be a limited edition. This is what he was told by the distributer. So do anyone know if Europe will be limited edition or is it just because I live in Norway.

Try buying game that was released 5 or 10 years ago. Even Settlers of Catan is slightly different now than it was 8-10 years ago.

That being said, buy a copy as soon as you can!

If you are comparing the availability to AA50 then NO, it is not a limited edition.  AA50 was sold out within 3 months after its official release.  Its been 7 months and there are plenty of Pacific 40 game out there for low prices (well, not for Norway I’m sure).

I thought Kreighund did say it was NOT a limited edition.  If it is a limited edition then you may want to grab a couple of copies of both as I did.  WOTC expects that more people will buy these games as a set once Europe 40 is out.

My information is that the '40 games are not planned limited editions.  However, if sales don’t meet expectations, there is always the possibility that there won’t be additional print runs.

Thanks for clearing things up, because I was seriously surprised when my store said it was limited edition. Can’t wait to get it. And axisgirl please don’t take it all that literary, you know what I meant by limited edition, and I just wanted to tell people about what my store said.

Yes arent ALL these games limited edition? Seriously go out and try buying guadalcanal at the store. Wait you cant! hahahaha. Which is my point. If you mis out on this you always have the vile bottomless hellhole I affectionately call “Ebay”.

You can buy it at a bunch of hobby stores.

I asked the North American Distributor for these games.  Their information is that AAG40 and 1942 will be standard issue for along time.

Pacific 40: That came out just at the end of last year
Spring 42: That’s still easy to rind in stores
Europe 40: It’s not even out.

They aren’t for sale yet, and im not sure if they will come in colour or not.

They’re not sold out. That’s just a “place holder” for the status since it means the same as “you can’t order this now”.

And the grey colour is only for the test sculpts. The actual colours should be the same as their combat dice (see the website) which is fairly close to the OOB colours.
