Questioneer, Weren’t you the leader of that cause?
Yes, he was.
And they actually gave an “official” answer saying that they were going to eventually reprint AA50.
Sorry Charles (squirecam), but I don’t think that they specifically were jerking us around and lied about a reprint while waiting for the AA40 games to come out .
They may have made a commitment to a reprint at the time and are now being forced to reevaluate it in light of other circumstances, but I think that they were sincere when they said it. The problem is they have a track record of not doing what they say they will do.
They should reprint the AA50 game like they said they would do. I can accept that it may take awhile for them to get to it, but they should follow through on their initial statement.
The whole A&A system is now based on the rules that were designed for AA50. You need for that game to be in circulation to flesh out the A&A line up. Base game= AA42, Advanced game= AA50, Theater specific/Global game= AAP 40, AAE 40, AA 40 Global.
Well said my friend, that is exactly my feeling and thoughts. Of course, you can’t call the reprint “Anniversary”- however you can change it to “Deluxe” version.
When or if they do reprint it you can probably see that:
1. It will be cheaper- more like $60 bucks than $100 originally.
2. Because it will be cheaper it will actually BE CHEAPLY MADE (don’t expect the nice components as in the first print- expect a lot of things to be “cheaped out” as far as material and components).
3. At least we will have the reprint so I guess we can’t complain too much. It is a great game with solid mechanics-one of the better versions if not the best. :-)
