I downloaded your other ‘42 map. I got mounted and cut today. It’s basically the size of AA50 (45.75" long x 23.5" wide). It’s the first time I’ve ever been able to set up an A&A game WITH NO CHIPS! It’s freakin’ AWESOME!

First quick impressions :
1. The land textures look fine. They are identical to the original map, right ?
2. The water colour is too bright for me and on the preview pictures it looks like the water is just a plain colour. No textures there ?
3. The swastika symbols are an absolute NoGo for me.
4. The “Franklin Gothic” font suits the map.
5. The Axis&Allies logo east of Madagascar is very ugly. ( may I dare to say so ? )
6. Glad you removed all that tanks, fighters, subs and especially all the silhouettes of political leaders.Apart from those few criticisms it is well done. Congratulations.

water does not need a texture. Water on every AA map has none, so mine too has none.
Water textures make the art look too busy IMO.
The NAZI symbol was just something i tried because i get so many people asking for it and i have declined to add it in the past.
This is a base map, and the next version will have the pictures similar to the OOB map.
The logo is plain. I didn’t mean to make it like the OOB logo.

Glad I came across this thread, I was about to have your previous AA42 map printed. Now i will definitely wait for the supreme map. I’d gladly pay to have the file put of a DVD and shipped if that would be possible. Are you going to make any changes or additions?
Are you going to do something similar for AA50? I know the production map already has those textures on it but I’d love to have a larger version printed out. We have a large group of people that meet up regularly and the supreme map would blow them away. Your non-supreme map would too, but now I will wait!

I cant sell my work because i am not making an original product, but another version of a produced map. I will find a way to get the files online as soon as i can.
I will complete some new versions ( both clean and with artistic embellishments)
Then perhaps make one radically different based on on my interpretation and including lots of neutrals and new territories perhaps similar to AAE and AAP.

What if someone were to send you a self addressed stamped envelope with a blank DVD? I can understand you being leery about taking anyone’s money to even just pay for charges incurred but an SASE with blank DVD is no different than putting it up on mediafire (or whatever other site allows large uploads). Just throwing it out there, I’m sure sites that host large files are charging for it and you can’t love us that much!

Look: find a site that allows large downloads and does not cost anything or make you register all sorts of information. I will then upload the file, but only after i get it finished. What i posted was semi final, i have some improvements to make.

Edit: Dell has a DataSafe service that allows you to upload up to 2 gigs free (as a trial). It allows you to share files with anyone.

What’s all that junk? I had a 1 year subscription about a year and a half ago from purchasing a laptop from Dell and their datasafe worked without a hitch.

How about compressing it with for instance winrar, and then uploading it in chunks of say 200MB? Then upload those 4 chunks to mediafire, and everyone can get it. Or use megaupload, it allows uploads of up to 1024MB I think…

.RAR is the biggest pile of dogcrap ever designed. I refuse to ruin my work with that rubbish. That format is like a virus. I loaded up the program and it totally thought it has some job to reconvert everything in another extension into .RAR and when i removed this rubbish from my computer it made it impossible to reconvert the files back , so they because useless inventory of pictures that could never again be accessed. Thanks RAR!
I advise anybody to never upload that program that uses RAR format. I think its called Paint shop pro?
