These are my combat moves. I will move everyone from G31 to Caen one by one.

I had to move the fighter from P31 to CaenP because apparently the game rolls incorrectly when there are two types of AA units involved, one that rolls one die for each unit, and ones that roll a fixed number of AA dice. I realized this when moving the infantry when only one die was rolled but fortunately it didn’t affect the game as it was a hit.
I could have probably also changed the fighter in P31 to a Fighter1 unit, that would have worked too. But in any case, the best way to handle those fighter strafes seems like swapping all fighters with Fighter1 units and move each unit one by one.
Also note that you need to have a unit in St. Lo to control it.

1 artillery from the American 19th Corps, the American 9th Infantry Division (3 infantry, 1 artillery), 1 artillery form the American 7th Corps, 1 artillery from the American 8th Corps, and 1 artillery from the American 5th Corps attacks Caen (dang, that’s a lot of corps-level artillery lying around), while the American 90th Infantry Division (3 infantry, 1 artillery) aids 2 artillery from the American 29th Infantry Division and 1 artillery and 1 tank from the British 50th Infantry Division (impressive, the latter four units, they’ve been fighting since the start of the game).

You did a great job very quickly pivoting from St. Lo to the victory city. Totally caught me off guard.

I fear you have made a wrong assumption regarding the rules. You moved a fighter to St. Lo, presumably to take control of it, however per the rules that is not enough. You need to have at least one LAND unit in a territory to control it. Take a look at this section of the rules:
I think you could have easily avoided this if you didn’t attack G33 with all Americans, but left one infantry behind to stay in St. Lo.
Not sure if this was intentional and if you were aware of the victory conditions, but if not then I’d be willing to give you the win. I don’t think people should lose because of a misunderstanding of the rules. You played a lot better than last game and at first I thought I was getting blown away, then after turn 5 or 6 or so I thought I had a change of winning again but you managed to get rid of my units just in time.
Overall it was a close and fun game. Thank you for playing! I can’t play another one as I’ve already too much other stuff going on (I was already playing turns a week here lol). You played well.

Yep, I only noticed the mistake at the beginning of turn 10 and was internally burning myself for not considering such as simple mistake (The Good Captain sure didn’t cover this elementary blunder in his videos), but I decided to just pretend as if I still had a chance of winning, and I knew the fighter wouldn’t have secured St. Lo.
Great game, you were a great opponent and certainly had me on edge in the midgame.
