Pretty sure that was a winning position with average dice. I’ll concede.

    Well player and congrats!

Thanks! What a long one… I was planning on sending my American carriers from 91 regardless of whether you were going to attack or not, and start building lots of air. To compensate for Japan getting stronger as I was more focused on the European side, particularly since I knocked out Italy and things were looking really good on that side.

  • Yah I kept baiting you with higher and higher odds so long as you couldn’t take the land/island and I had at least some counter strike ability. I figured Japan needs her boats a lot more in order to be a real threat and to win.

  • I definitely got lucky on that one but that’s the nature of massive naval battles which is I’m sure why you weren’t taking the bait earlier with odds that weren’t as high as they were this time

  • Was also planning on stacking yugo pretty hard this turn. Would’ve been a nice position for allies in Europe.

With average dice the Japanese fleet is too strong to counter attack. And then I have enough turns to take Anzac before Gib reinforcements come.

Big battles have less variance than smaller ones. And taking your ship hits on my subs would increase the odds compared to what was shown (roughly compensated by keeping a couple carriers up).

Well I also had an excess of air I was considering pulling over if I felt a VC loss was immanent, in particular the uk air in southern France which could ride those 91 carriers and fly over to queens or Sydney as needed. But I’d only do that if I felt the situation called for it of course. As again Europe side was in good shape after Rome fell.
