Oh…
I’ve been playing wrong this entire time???
:disappointed:
Thanks for clarifying though. I’ll take that into my next physical game.
Great!
@The-Captain when you gonna upload italy strategy?
We expect to release a Strategy Guide for Italy no later than this spring.
The Strategy Guide for Italy will describe 2 Italian strategies.
Sweet!
The Global 1940 No. 11 Game Report shows parts of the Combined Axis Strategy.
We expect to release the Combined Axis Strategy (Germany, Japan & Italy) this Spring.
We are play testing an Italian Strategy that is focusing on the Middle East.
We expect to release this Italian Strategy Guide no later than May this year.
Can’t wait!
The presence of Strategic Bombers within striking range of enemy Industrial Complexes might force the enemy to upgrade those Industrial Complexes to Underground Factories.
Especially if the Strategic Bombers can be escorted by a large number of Fighters.
In this way you can “force” the enemy to spend IPC to protect the factories from Strategic Bombing - IPC that are much needed elsewhere.
The G40 Game Report No. 15 reveals parts of the Combined Axis Strategic Plan.
As you read your way through the game report, you’ll discover the combined Axis effort to eliminate United Kingdom’s IPC income.
Study the No. 15 Game Report - and analyze the pictures from both the first and second part of the game report.
Thanks for the advice!
I am struggling as Axis playing when my opponent does an all-out KGF strategy almost completely ignoring Japan, except the 20 IPC’s in Calcutta each turn. I am assuming that there is a game thread somewhere where somebody has successfully countered such a strategy. If so, can someone please be so kind as to point me to that so I can review? Thanks much.
@Trout if the allies go all in on Germany, Japan will dominate the entire pacific and slowly taking Russia. Germany can hold. The axis should definitely win this
@The-Captain Thanks Cap. Yes, I love your strategy guide and follow your Battle of the Atlantic strategy normally as I am doing now. It just doesn’t address specific strategies of an opponent that are a little unique such as ignoring Japan so as to kill Italy before the Takeover and follow up by squeezing Germany from all three sides before Japan’s monstrous expansion can put lethal pressure on any of the three major Allies.
@Cornelis-Post I am thinking that what you said has to be the case otherwise the HR game is broke and I believe that is definitely not the case. I am going to keep the faith that letting Japan reach income levels of 100+ quickly will be a game-loser in the end and see what happens.
Hi @Trout
Can you post some pictures of your game.
@Trout Yes if you capture in round 3-4 the money islands/ phillipens also taking china then the Japanese will be very strong, and if the US is doing nothing there, they must be able to take out India and press on into the Middle East.
@Cornelis-Post On schedule for that. In a nutshell:
What does he have in Caucasus ? Can you get some LCVs to Romainia and coordinate with the Paras ? Arty, Elite, Pnzrgrndr are good combination for Amphib attack.
Your Bmbrs should reach and a Tac Ftr in Romainia can as well
@barnee I could but no IC in Romania. I don’t see that recommended in the Captain’s Strategy Guide and I have not found it to be as useful as 25 IPC’s worth of infantry/arty/panzers. I think I am going to be just trying to survive and hold given his max attack on Germany. He has 55 infantry plus two commissars & Guards against my 35 infantry plus two PG’s with 9 more in Slovakia & 10 in Berlin behind them but he has Red Army Conscription next turn which will push his infantry to 80.
