To be clear, you can move land units from Scotland to Northern Ireland without transport.

@crazyivan_06 Sure can. The map has a piece of “Scotland” adjoining Ireland. And all of scotland is 1 land unit.

Just to be clear damaged carriers can’t have fighters on them of the same Power. They can have fighters of a different Power on them even if they are damaged.

The reason being fighters of the same Power are considered airborne during the active Turn or when defending; thus they are always in the air when the carrier is damaged and thus cannot land. However, fighters from a different Power are in the air only while defending; they are still on the carrier if the carrier is attacking. So, if the carrier is damaged the fighters are stuck until the carrier repairs.

UK collects the unspent IPCs of the Germany’s player, then, even if its own capital is in enemy’s hands. See page 21 of the Europe 1940.2 rulebook.

@MM1940 The airbase in S. Italy protects both SZ95 and SZ97–regardless of the land attacked. If an invader attempts an assault in either SZ, the aircraft in S. Italy can respond.

“A quick reaction team of no more than 3 defending fighters and/or tactical bombers (strategic bombers can’t scramble) located on each island or coastal territory that has an operative air base can be scrambled to defend against attacks in the sea zones adjacent to those territories. These air units can be scrambled to help friendly units in adjacent sea zones that have come under attack. They can also be scrambled to resist amphibious assaults from adjacent sea zones, whether or not the territory being assaulted is the territory containing the air base. They may defend against the enemy ships conducting the amphibious assault even if friendly ships are not present.”

Nine transports is a huge waste of IPC in the russian theatre, if you going to attack russia i would rather just split the IPC between Tanks and Mech. Infantry. The only reason I would ever do this, would be too for-stall russia and ready troops and next turn come back and the fallowing turn drop on England with favorable odds based on the units one would buy in those turns. This also only applies to a Global game of Axis an Allies…

Sounds like a waste. Best to just build when the german fighters are not in range (aka, fighting russia) or even just save for a turn or two.
