  • Ok, don’t like the outcome of this game being decided by a silly over-look. I mean, I had calculated like 15 times with all the russian air and then just forgot to move 2 fig from Moscow. Bad taste there.


  • I agree that it’s dumb that it was decided that way, but if you had brought the russians, id have bombed the airbase, and they’d have been stuck there not able to return for the german attack on moscow, everyone but the russians could possibly return.

    I thought your move was purposeful because it was minimizing the amount of Russian planes getting stuck, simply just enough to take as interception casualties to maximize the amount of other allied planes getting there since the battle for moscow was going to be razor thin. If I had thought that was an accident I would have let you know about it, but I had expected you to do that and didn’t think anything of it.

    The tac bombers should have clued me in on that but I wasn’t really paying attention to your plane allocation, just to optimizing my move


  • Yep, I’m not disappointed in you, but in myself. Shouldn’t play in the middle of the night, but thought I wouldn’t be able to sleep anyway.

    An SBR on the Calcutta ab wouldn’t have mattered. UK-Pac would’ve gotten atleast 4 IPC (had 2 IPC and earn atleast 2 more) and it would’ve been repaired.

    There’s still a small straw to clinch with Calcutta.

    May I adjust some things? Mind was clouded by sleepy drowsiness.

    a) The purchase with US was pretty dumb, but that’s not much to do.

    b) Since I wanted to get the 2 figs to Calcutta, but couldn’t, is it ok to have them landed in WI?

    c) Did an edit with pansar to Greece. May I reconsider that? Have some air that can land instead.

    d) May I allocate the US fig in Afghanistan to a suicide mission on Calcutta? Forgot about that one.

    Hmm, I don’t follow. The ab would’ve been repaired, so all air reach Moscow. That was my main plan atleast.

  • Of course, you’re right, UK-Pac only had 2 IPC for this turn. Yeah, the air wouldn’t make it back and I would’ve abandoned Calcutta one turn later.

  • I’ll wait with UK in order for a confirmation of the edits. Especially the russian pansar to Afghanistan. Logic there would be to get units into Calcutta in order to relieve air to be able to move back to Moscow.
