Thanks for the clarification.
Imperious Leader AA50 maps?
-
Does anyone have links to Imperious Leader’s AA50 maps? I have one from about 8 years ago that is nice and I was wondering if he has updated it. I’m specifically looking for his vector image map that has simple colorings, and has a filename of:
AA50 basic version copy.pdfHere’s a small screenshot of it:

Im working on it . That came out even before AA50 came out because Craig Yoper sent me a playtest copy of it even though he signed a non-disclosure agreement.

@Imperious:
Im working on it.
Are you still working on the same AA50 map from ~10 years ago? :?

Thanks! Great work!
Any chance you can share the source files for the AA50 maps? I’d like to make changes and it’ll take a LOT of hacking to edit a raw image file instead of a file with layers, assuming your source files contain layers.
The changes I want to make to your AA50 vector map are:
-
No background images, charts, trackers, A&A text
-
Make the map exactly the same map as the original (in the recent AA50 release); meaning no Azores, no Malta, no Corisca, no Sadrina, etc…
-
Some rondel changes

I could not see the map from the link i posted. Here is the original .ai file. Its 364 mb and i noticed the artwork and title frame are missing and the sea zones have some alterations which dont look right.

Well im looking on my system for these old files. It takes time due to so many damm files created 2004-2018. If you folks want me to update these files get enough people to bug me and i will do it.

P-unit… i can give you the original .ai file if you want, but my version is much better than the one you postede

I would like the original .ai file of the one I posted (AA50 basic version copy.pdf) as I prefer it over the others, even though I like the colors of your newest version. I think you posted the .ai file for this newest version, and if it has layers (havent tested it yet) that is all I’ll need to make my changes. =)

@Imperious-Leader Maybe you went this way since the original design does archetypally the same, but how about, in the land-to-land borders, colourizing the borders of the borders, while leaving the inside of the borders light grey?
This way, you could properly define the colours for the borders between territories with different ownerships (for example, having the border between Poland and East Poland grey on the west and red on the east). The Soviet symbol in the turn order is different from the ones inside the territories.
The Azores are sometimes neutral and sometimes American (also probably it would make more sense as British than Americans, but debatable and pointless).
In the “AA50 Suplreme Edition” there are no territories for Azores and Malta, but only the roundels?
