I don’t have a Mac, but as nobody else answered your question, I’ll give you two sources that might be helpful:

Alternative instructions for unblocking TripleA:

1. Open up “Gatekeeper”
Gatekeeper options are found in Apple menu > System Preferences… > Security & Privacy > General tab under the header “Allow applications downloaded from:”

2. Change “Allow Applications Downloaded From:” to “Anywhere”

3. You should now be able to open and use TripleA (and any other software).

Yes, always find the latest stable release here:

http://www.triplea-game.org/download/

When there, just klick on the “TripleA for Mac”-image to start the download.

I got confused because I already tried the link you showed me just now, it said version 1.9.0.0.7342 and I thought the new one was version 1.9.0.0.7398.  Cool.  I’ll go ahead and download it.

Don’t worry - and no need to be confused about it, as there is a reason:

Indeed there are newer versions. They are called “pre-releases”.

You can always find the latest pre-release here:

https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/releases

As of writing this, version 1.9.0.0.7422 is the newest one.

The file you want to download for the Mac then is this one: TripleA_1.9.0.0.7422_macos.dmg

From time to time the TripleA devs decide to mark a new (pre-)release as “stable” and offer it on the www.triplea-game.org website - but development is so fast, you sometimes have five or more pre-releases a day.

You can have more than one installation of TripleA side by side. So you might want to give the latest pre-release a try.
