US fighter edited to UK carrier off London as declared on US turn in the comment log. I wish I was playing you face to face on a board, as long as we both have calculators!

  • Uh oh. Only 2 hits in the big fleet battle, 3 1/2 expected, not good.

Transports are extremely valuable in this situation so I can’t assume,

This game (the Classic version) is so serious and precise, much of the time, and then the next moment it’s simply insane, especially G1/UK1 with the high stakes ships battles lol
It looks different after years and years of AA50 and G40.
Here is one of those insane battles that make or break. So far looking really, really bad for me

    Awaiting casualty choice

  • Tough decision. I want to save the transports but I also want to win this battle.

You can take the transports. Losing the fleet is worse as that will also include the transports.

  • I forgot that defending submarines can withdraw, and although I’m a little groggy after the nap, I think you would surely leave it in the battle.

The Japanese also underperform, and the fate of the world is hanging in the balance.
Three hits back to the Americans, and the Americans lose the transport, carrier (truly sorry, flyboys), and a fighter (he wasn’t coming back home anyway)

With immense faith put in the submarines’ captains’ hands, the submarine unit misses all boats entirely.
In his defense, “Manila” sounds a little bit like “Singapore”, so we’ll forgive the error, especially since he is doomed anyway. The battleship was following him to Manila, but the pilots all zeroed in (pun intended) on the Japanese fleet and are no longer using dud bombs. The Japanese are thinking positive, very happy that the USA has not discovered the atomic bomb yet. (After all, the Americans haven’t spent a dime on research since the beginning of this war)

So 3 hits for the Americans. The supreme commander of the Pacific fleet must wait for a decision.

    What do the Japanese lose/save?
