There is definitely something funky going on with the dice roller. In another game I’m in as Axis, I attack 2 Chinese infantry in Kweichow with 15 units (admittedly a lot of infantry, but 3 art ,1 tac and 1 fighter in the mix).
1st round: Japan all misses. Chinese 1 1
2nd round: Japan 2 hits of 13, Chinese 1 1
Allies continue to roll something like 7 “1s” out of 10 dice rolls that turn.
Not as game affecting as our Yunnan battle, but very strange!
@Booper It’s wild when you see them, randomness is far more streaky/less random looking than we think it should be. I remember learning in an accounting class that there are statistical analyses you can perform on financial data to look at tampering. People will over- or under- utilize round numbers because they think it looks too fake. our brains are so good at deceiving us haha
Sorry, meant to say over-utilize certain numbers that “feel” random to them, like 7, and under-utilize round numbers like 5 and 0. I occasionally have ledgers with hundreds of transactions going through them end up with a balance like $364,000 and the first thing I think is that I made a mistake somewhere – nope, just random!
