  • It does feel like Anniversary. Splitting France is so much better for the game IMO. Especially with a playable Italy.

    China is really strong, you’ve gone almost fully in on china + USSR as Japan and I don’t feel like the dice have been super lucky for either of us but it feels like Japan is struggling more than I would expect. Perhaps need to focus on crushing China fast, the +5 NO has let me buy a lot of powerful units.

    It’s a nice mid size between Global and Anniversary without the extra range from airbases/harbors in Global. A lot of the islands touching multiple sea zones is in PtV and I love the way it changes the game.

    I like airbases from G40 just to scramble fighters. Makes Island hopping in the Pacific and a Baltic/Med fleet as Germany/Italy much more defensible.

    I blundered my British fleet so maybe it wouldn’t normally be so hard to have one offshore without an airbase. I think Allies are probably a little favored in this version based on the little I have played so far.
