USA Turn 1 reinforcement question

On USA turn 1, the reinforcement roll is “4, 2”. The USA player puts the four pieces into the Utah Beach box and the others are returned to the reinforcement card as per the rules on page 17.
Question: What happens to those two units on the next turn? Do they need to be rolled for or are they “added” to the next reinforcement roll. To be clear, my opponent rolled a “6,4” on the subsequent USA reinforcement roll and so is deploying 12 pieces but I think it should be 10.

@The_Good_Captain They do not carry over, and are treated normally in the next turn.
