Fr sea battle vs Aus was a repeat of UK sea battle against Tur in round 1. Both about 85% and both tied instead. Fr battle calc had 2 1/2 ships left. Would have had BB and BC left to protect tt’s and for bombard. Could have terrorized Adriatic ports like in our team game. Now neither UK nor Fr has a capital ship. Another game changer, since UK has limited build capacity in Med, and Fr doesn’t have excess cash. I thought I managed Serb well, but couldn’t hold Belgrade or Serbia. Gambled on Bosnia with just a FG and won. Had 40% chance of win and 20% draw, so was a good risk reward.
When the sea battle was down to my BB and your BC, I should have retreated, as my BB would have repaired before you could counterattack. Since the odds were only even, it wasn’t worth the risk to continue fighting. But in the heat of battle, players often don’t think things through.

I was worried about the Med situation and the game in general, until I planned my UK moves and the dice were favorable in the important items: tech and UK on Chih. Actually, I wasn’t thinking that if Chih succeeded, that U.S. had a high chance of taking Mex. I was just thinking of sparing USA any loses in taking Chih. 2 G subs hit back at 1 and neutral Norway took out 2 of mine.

Couldn’t have asked for better dice. I didn’t want to take Champ, even tho I had good odds. Because you had many units to counterattack with. First 2 rounds went so well, that I gambled on a third round. If I rolled great, I would take Champ with enough units surviving to make your counterattack questionable. I rolled just right, leaving 1 defender and I retreated. I forgot to move combat to FranC. So started new game and did just that battle so you would get the Marti dice. I attacked with an inf & FG, but edited based on 2 inf and FG. So had to re-edit.
