@crockett36
This seems interesting. I’ll try it out.

Hi Ben,
Both dice counts.
Please note:
The 2-dice rule also concerns Heavy Bomber units, SHB, Army units etc.In other words: Both dice counts for all these units.
Thanks for the clarification !

Hi Captain
I thought I had asked this but rereading the rules I’m not so sure.
Can Air Trprts transport allied units ? If so, Germany can transport Italian tanks etc …
They work same as Naval Trprts essentially. Thanks
-
Yes - an Air Transport unit can transport a friendly unit. The game mechanism is the same as for Naval Transport units.
Important:
Only German Air Transport units can transport Tank (Panzer) units. -

@The-Captain What do you think about making Vyborg worth a buck ? SSR would get a mini early game boost and usually G would after the baloon goes up.
We just ignore it so R can’t spawn Partisans right now.
Edit
It can still be used for Air to land if the soviets wanna do some suprise stuff. But basically, it just gets ignored.Edit 2
That’d force G to occupy it . One less dude to the E Front. Idk the Soviets pretty strong in this mod imo. I kinda like playing them :) -
We have discussed and play tested this idea in the Veteran Group back in 2018.
The conlusion was:
- The 1 IPC income is not worth adjusting concerning the overall Game Balance
- Since Vyborg has no IPC value, the Soviet player has an excellent option to split Soviet Forces between Vyborg and Karelia - and thereby force the German player to send units into an IPC Worthless Vyborg in order to avoid the Soviet troops to attack Finland.
This gives the Soviet player an option to counter attack from Leningrad the German troops in either Vyborg and/or Karelia.
In other words: When Vyborg is IPC worthless, it is a Tactical Advantage to the Soviet player.
-
Regarding Lend Lease
The soviet player must activate any Allied units deignated as LL whether they want to accept them or not ?
Can they just ignore them and they remain allied ?
Thanks
-
The Soviet player and the UK and/or US players (s) must agree concerning Lend-Lease units.
Naturally - in a Two-Player game this is not an issue…
But in Multiplayer games the rule is, that all involved players must agree how, when and which Lend-Lease units are shipped to USSR.
The overall goal is to win the War - so we have never experienced any issues concerning this matter…
-
yes a rare situation. After rereading the rules, it seems as if the Allies designate them LL, SSR needs to buy them.
Edit
Reason for question was if G took over Italy and UK wanted to use their LL forces to counterattack but it seems that once designated the commies are forced to buy them :)
