This site offers dedicated military flags that are placed on the table for each player.
@trulpen Can build subs, transports, destroyers and cruisers without a harbor.
PtV G2 executed. Fizzled with my plan of building a tr, des and ac in z102, since I wasn’t at cue with the new rules. Lack a harbour. Darn.

Luckily understood that during CM, but before executing the battle. Thanks!
The mIC will anyway be valuable, since the ukrainian mIC will disappear soon.
Although I admit that it was a fishy purchase for G1.
Of course you’re aware that Russia’s objectives are not up to date with the sea zones.
Another thing. When I moved the fig from Rome to the English Channel the client insisted of moving it through WG instead of S Fr. What I recall it should be possible to fly over pro-axis territories, right?
@trulpen That’s a player enforced rule that you can fly over Vichy neutrals, you need to use edit mode. Global was like that too, but the WG route was 4 moves as well so no one noticed.

I do believe this will make the original board obsolete for many players. Incredible.
Wow. Thanks, Gamerman. That means alot coming from you. Appreciate the kind words.
i personally dislike the skin. i dont like the colors. BM one is great.
@Amon-Sul There’s no accounting for taste! You can change the colors to whatever you like! Its easy (and kinda fun) :D
Here’s how:
Unzip the game file in your downloadedmaps folder (which is typically located in your user/documents/triplea directory). The file is called ww2_path_to_victory-master.zip.
Inside the unzipped folder, open up the “Map” folder and look inside for the file called “map.properties.”
Open “map.properties” with Notepad (for PC) or textedit (for Mac).
Inside you will find a list of player factions with a color code assigned to each play.
Find the color you want for the particular player here: https://www.rapidtables.com/web/color/RGB_Color.html. THis website gives you the color code, which you will need for the next step.
Type in the new color code next to the country at issue. Save the file. Rezipp the map. And launch tripleA. You will see that the color has been updated to the one you picked!
Note: this will not affect how your opponents see the map, because the color information is stored locally on everyone’s computer, and has no other effect on the game. It will only change what you see.
Enjoy!
@regularkid “The main source of increased complexity, would, of course, be the application of scramble rules to land battles and carriers. However, since this is merely an extension of an already existing and well-understood game mechanic, i would describe as more of elegant addition, than a complexity.”
Reading the game notes, I don’t see the ability to scramble to land battles listed. Is this in the game, or just an idea?
@CaptainNapalm it is meant to be part of the game. We’ll be issuing an update when TripleA2 drops, to supplement game notes and fix typos etc.
@regularkid will the updates change the German and Italian National Objectives regarding the new Northeast Persian territory, or was there no oil there?
@CaptainNapalm Hey Captain. No oil in North East Persia. Was intentional
@regularkid What are the rules for passage through the Tsugaru Strait. Do you have to own Hokkaido and Japan? i.e. SZ 6 is exclusive to Japan (until it is eliminated)
@surfer is exclusive the Tsugaru Strait is controlled by Japan alone. That doesn’t necessarily mean that sz 6 is exclusive to Japan, however, since ships can freely pass in the north and south of the sea zone.

But you just can’t reach z6 from z17 then.
One thing, is it possible to make the numbers on the map bigger?
I’d like to zoom out, but I can’t, because then I don’t see how many units there are.
@trulpen Just select the territories tab and mouse over areas of interest.
Won’t work completely when there is a shit-ton of different units but that’s when the battle calculator is your friend.

I do at times, but I prefer to be able to see it directly, if possible, excluding piles of different units where all is crawling over each other fighting for breath.
